With good cause, American athletes are putting their hopes in swimmer Katie Ledecky to win gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
Ledecky, the youngest member of the US swim team, had an incredible performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She wrapped up the Games as the most bemedaled female athlete, garnering four golds (200-meter, 400-meter, 800-meter, and 4×200-meter freestyle) and one silver (4×100-meter freestyle).
In the process, she broke two world marks and became the most decorated American female athlete in the history of an individual Olympic performance.
