With Japan having won their first two games, the Canadian women’s wheelchair basketball team hopes to build on a commanding opening victory. This game could be a little more difficult.
In their victory over Great Britain in the opening match of the Tokyo Paralympics, Canada made an impression.
In the first game, Kady Dandeneau led the way for Canada. With 32 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists, she recorded a triple-double, helping the team win 73–54, a margin of 19 points. Forward Fujii Ikumi, who has shone in her first two games, is Japan’s main weapon.
